Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or finely chopped
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (full-fat or low-fat)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup Frank’s RedHot Original hot sauce
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (divided: 3/4 cup for dip, 1/4 cup for topping)
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2–3 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blend cottage cheese in a blender or food processor for 30-45 seconds until completely smooth.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine blended cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, hot sauce, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth.
  4. Fold in shredded chicken, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and all of the mozzarella cheese until well combined.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until hot and bubbly with melted, golden cheese on top.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use plant-based cottage cheese and yogurt. For extra heat, add cayenne pepper or use a spicier hot sauce. The dip can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours; add 5-7 minutes to baking time if starting cold.
