Quick and healthy air-fried salmon cubes tossed in a zesty lemon and dill marinade, resulting in crispy edges and a tender, juicy center in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes completely dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, lemon zest, dried dill, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat evenly. Let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush with olive oil.
  6. Arrange the salmon cubes in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they do not touch.
  7. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping halfway through.
  8. Remove when salmon is opaque, flakes easily with a fork, and has golden brown edges.
  9. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and extra dill if desired.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow proper air circulation. Pat the salmon dry thoroughly before seasoning to prevent steaming. For best results, use wild-caught salmon, but farmed works as well. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C), though many prefer 125°F-130°F for a moister texture.
