Quick and easy Halloween charcuterie skewers ready in 10 minutes with no cooking required. Perfect for parties, classroom treats, or a spooky snack before trick-or-treating.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cheese cubes (cheddar, mozzarella, or Gouda), cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 6 oz deli meat slices (pepperoni, salami, or turkey), folded or rolled
  • 24 mini crackers (Ritz or square wheat crackers)
  • 1/2 cup olives (black or green, pitted)
  • 1/2 cup grape tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup cucumber rounds (English cucumber, 1/4-inch slices)
  • 1/2 cup pretzel sticks, broken into 1-inch pieces
  • Edible googly eyes (optional)
  • Black food coloring (optional)
  • Small cookie cutters in Halloween shapes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep your cheese: Cut the cheese into 1-inch cubes. If using cookie cutters, slice cheese into 1/4-inch thick slabs, press cutters through, then cube scraps.
  2. Prep your meat: Fold deli slices in half, then in half again for small triangles, or roll larger slices into tight cylinders.
  3. Prep your vegetables: Wash and dry grape tomatoes. Slice cucumber into 1/4-inch rounds. Drain olives and pat dry.
  4. Arrange your ingredients in small bowls or on a cutting board in order of use: cheese, meat, crackers, vegetables, pretzels.
  5. Assemble the skewers: Thread ingredients onto skewers in any order, starting with a cheese cube. Add folded meat, cracker, tomato, another cheese cube, and end with a pretzel stick or olive. Leave 1/2 inch space at each end.
  6. Add decorations (optional): Stick edible googly eyes onto cheese cubes with a dab of cream cheese. For spider webs, mix black food coloring into cream cheese and pipe onto crackers.
  7. Arrange on platter: Lay skewers in a fan pattern or stacked like a log pile. Scatter extra olives, crackers, or pretzels around the base. Add a small bowl of dip in the center if desired.

Notes

Assemble skewers up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate. Add decorations just before serving. Use room temperature cheese for easier skewering. Pat wet ingredients dry to prevent sogginess. For vegan version, use dairy-free cheese and plant-based pepperoni.
