A quick and nourishing breakfast featuring creamy rolled oats, ripe banana, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, and a rich almond butter swirl. Perfect for busy mornings and packed with protein and natural sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (45 g) rolled oats (old-fashioned)
  • 1 medium ripe banana, mashed
  • 1 scoop (about 30 g) vanilla protein powder (plant-based or whey)
  • ¾ cup (180 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons natural almond butter

Instructions

  1. Mash one ripe banana in a mixing bowl with a fork until mostly smooth with a few small lumps remain (about 1-2 minutes).
  2. Stir in ½ cup rolled oats and 1 scoop vanilla protein powder until well combined.
  3. Add ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk and stir until the mixture looks creamy but thick. Add 1-2 tablespoons more milk if too dry.
  4. Spoon the oat mixture into a 12-ounce (350 ml) mason jar or airtight container, leaving some room at the top.
  5. Drop 2 tablespoons almond butter on top and gently swirl it into the oats with a small spatula or butter knife to create a marbled effect.
  6. Seal the jar tightly and refrigerate overnight or for at least 6 hours to let the oats soak and flavors meld.
  7. Serve cold straight from the jar or let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes for a softer texture. Stir if desired.

Notes

Use old-fashioned rolled oats for best texture; quick oats become mushy. Mash ripe bananas mostly smooth for creaminess. Swirl almond butter on top instead of mixing fully for rich pockets of flavor. Chill at least 6 hours but no more than 12 for optimal texture. Adjust almond milk quantity if mixture is too thick or thin. Store leftovers refrigerated up to 3 days. Add fresh berries or spices for variation.
