These ham and cheese pinwheel sandwiches are quick, easy, and perfect for meal prep. Made with a creamy seasoned spread, ham, and cheddar, they are a crowd-pleasing lunch or snack that can be made ahead and even frozen.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (226g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup (60g) mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 large (10-inch) flour tortillas
  • 8 oz (226g) thinly sliced deli ham
  • 4 oz (113g) thinly sliced cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth.
  2. Lay one flour tortilla flat on a cutting board. Spread about 2 to 3 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the entire surface of the tortilla.
  3. Place about 2 ounces (4-5 slices) of ham over the cream cheese, then lay about 1 ounce (2-3 slices) of cheddar cheese on top of the ham.
  4. Starting from one edge, roll the tortilla up as tightly as possible without tearing. Place seam-side down.
  5. Wrap the rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap, twisting the ends like a candy wrapper. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
  6. Place the wrapped rolls on a baking sheet or plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 3 hours.
  7. Once chilled, unwrap the rolls and slice each into 1-inch thick rounds using a sharp knife.
  8. Arrange on a serving platter and serve cold or at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, chill the rolls for at least 30 minutes before slicing to ensure clean cuts. The pinwheels can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To freeze, wrap unsliced rolls tightly in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before slicing.
