This Easy Spider Web Buffalo Chicken Dip is a quick and delicious appetizer perfect for game day or any gathering. Made with simple ingredients like cream cheese, shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and cheese, it features a fun spider web design on top that makes it a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/3 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (for spider web design)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1/3 cup ranch dressing, 1/4 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce. Stir until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add the 2 cups of shredded chicken, 1/2 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, and the 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Fold everything together gently but thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the mixture to your greased baking dish. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer. Smooth the top as much as possible.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges.
  7. While the dip bakes, prepare the spider web cream cheese. Place the 2 tablespoons of softened cream cheese in a small piping bag or zip-top bag. If using a zip-top bag, press the cream cheese into one corner, then snip off about 1/8 inch of the tip.
  8. Remove the dip from the oven and let it cool for 2 minutes.
  9. Pipe the spider web design: Start by piping a small circle of cream cheese in the center of the dip. Then pipe concentric circles around it, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Finally, use a toothpick or the tip of a knife to drag lines from the center outward, through all the rings. Drag about 8 lines evenly spaced around the circle.
  10. Let the dip rest for 3-5 minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or crusty bread.

Notes

Let the cream cheese soften properly for best texture. Shred cheese yourself for smoother melting. Don’t overbake to avoid greasy dip. Can be assembled up to 24 hours in advance (without spider web design).
