These easy strawberry cream cheese tortilla roll-ups come together in about five minutes and are perfect for a quick, kid-friendly lunch or snack. They combine creamy, fruity filling with soft tortillas for a delicious and fun treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Flour tortillas (small or medium size)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (full-fat or light)
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 12 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine 8 oz softened cream cheese with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup. Mix until smooth and creamy, about 3 minutes.
  2. Rinse 1 cup fresh strawberries under cold water. Hull and slice thinly, about 1/4 inch thick. Set aside.
  3. Place one tortilla flat on a clean surface. Warm briefly in the microwave for 10 seconds if stiff.
  4. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the tortilla surface.
  5. Arrange sliced strawberries evenly over the cream cheese, leaving a 1/2 inch border around edges.
  6. Roll the tortilla tightly into a cylinder, about 30 seconds per roll. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 10 minutes if desired.
  7. Using a sharp knife, cut each roll-up into 1-inch pinwheels, yielding 6 to 8 pieces per roll-up.
  8. Pack or serve immediately. Refrigerate leftovers up to 24 hours.

Notes

Soften cream cheese before mixing to avoid lumps. Warm tortillas briefly to prevent tearing. Drain excess moisture from fruit to avoid soggy tortillas. Chill roll-ups before slicing for neat pinwheels. Use gluten-free tortillas for gluten-free option and plant-based cream cheese for dairy-free alternative.
